On September 9, 2024, GH Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, in collaboration with the NSS Wing (CSE/IT), Nagpur Book Club and Saving Dreamz Foundation, hosted a Blood Donation and Book Donation Camp. The event was organized as part of the college’s 10-day Ganapati celebrations, with the goal of fostering community spirit and helping those in need.
The camp was inaugurated by the esteemed Dr. Vivek Kapur - Director of GH Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, who demonstrated leadership by being the first to donate blood. His enthusiasm and support set the tone for a highly successful event.
Blood Donation Drive
With overwhelming participation, over 50 students and faculty members selflessly donated blood. Each donor's contribution could save up to three lives, underscoring the profound impact of their generosity. The blood collection was managed with the capable assistance of Dr. Aparna Sagare, Ravi Gajbhiye and Deepa Uikey from Lifeline Blood Bank, ensuring that the donations were handled safely and efficiently.
Book Donation Drive
In addition to the blood donations, the camp also saw a tremendous response to the Book Donation initiative. Over 100 used study books for 11th, 12th and Competitive exam preparation were collected. These books will soon be distributed to deserving students, providing them with valuable resources to aid in their education.
