Event Name : Plogging

Date : 5th June 2022

Organised by : India Peace Centre, Nagpur Book Club, Saving Dreamz Foundation

Plogging is a term invented by Erik Ahlström referring to the act of picking up trash and litter while jogging. It is a portmanteau of the Swedish term plocka upp, which means "to pick up," and jogging.

A joint effort by India Peace Centre, Nagpur Book Club, Saving Dreamz Foundation on occasion of World Environment Day had organised an Plogging activity at Japanese Garden Gate.

Around 50 members from this organisation had participated in the event. At the start plaque cards and posters were displayed for the people around the area. Each poster was having an unique message to convey the importance of plants and water in everyone's life.

Further we started our activity of plogging from Japanese Garden Gate till Mother diary office.

We almost collected around 25+ baggage of garbage from this area and disposed it to the NMC garbage collection vehicle.

In future also everyone showed their interest to do this activity on daily basis so that we must be able to keep our city clean and hygienic.

We request people not to throw any waste on roadside or any surroundings which can make that place dirty. Always make an habit to dispose it to proper place.

Saving Dreamz Foundation would like to thank India Peace Centre and Nagpur Book Club and special thanks to Dr. Tejinder Singh Rawal Sir, Rohit Tokhi Sir, Lata Tokhi Mam, Dinesh Dhawane Sir, Kapil Sawaikar and all the members of both the organization for giving us this wonderful opportunity to work together in this noble cause.

We look forward for more such collaboration and activities in the future to make the earth a beautiful place to live.
