In a collaborative effort to raise awareness about the dangers of plastic pollution and promote sustainable solutions, Nagpur@2025 in association with Saving Dreamz Foundation conducted an engaging Ecobricks Session at NMC School, Shastri Nagar, run by the Akanksha Foundation.

The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Class 1 to Class 3, who were eager to learn how they can contribute to protecting the environment.

Understanding Plastic Pollution

Through interactive games and discussions, the children were introduced to the dangers of single-use plastic, such as its long-term impact on the environment and wildlife.

We explained the need to reduce, reuse and repurpose plastic waste in fun and simple terms that the young minds could grasp.

Introduction to Ecobricks

The concept of Ecobricks, plastic bottles packed tightly with single-use plastic waste—was explained as an innovative and eco-friendly solution to repurpose plastic waste.

Real-life examples of how Ecobricks are used to construct furniture, walls and even buildings were shared to inspire the children.

Hands-On Activity

The children actively participated in making their own mini-Ecobricks using waste plastic.

Playful Learning Environment

The session was designed to be engaging and playful, incorporating games and activities to teach children about the importance of waste management.

The students learned that even small actions, such as properly disposing of or repurposing waste, can have a significant impact on the environment.

We extend our gratitude to Akanksha Foundation for supporting this initiative and providing a platform to educate young minds.

The volunteers from Nagpur@2025 and Saving Dreamz Foundation, whose dedication and creativity made the session a resounding success.

Let’s continue to inspire and empower the next generation to be champions of change. Say no to plastic, say yes to Ecobricks!
