UCN in association with Nagpur@25 and other organisation organized an engaging drawing competition across various schools under the initiative “Paryavaran Sanvardhan.” This initiative, focused on environmental conservation, provided a unique platform for young minds to express their creativity while learning about sustainable practices. We were thrilled to interact with enthusiastic students and educate them on the importance of Ecobricks. What are Ecobricks? Ecobricks are a simple yet effective way to reduce plastic waste and promote recycling. They are created by packing clean, dry plastic waste into PET bottles, which can then be used as building blocks for various structures. This not only helps in managing plastic waste but also provides an eco-friendly alternative to traditional building materials. Event Highlights: Creative Expression: The drawing competition encouraged children to use their imagination and artistic skills to depict themes related to environmental conservation and the use of Ecobricks. The response was overwhelming, with vibrant and thought-provoking artworks highlighting the significance of protecting our planet. Educational Sessions: Alongside the competition, we conducted interactive sessions to educate students about the environmental impact of plastic waste and how Ecobricks can play a crucial role in mitigating this issue. The kids were keen learners, asking insightful questions and showing a genuine interest in adopting eco-friendly practices. Hands-on Activity: To give a practical demonstration, we organized a hands-on activity where students got to create their own Ecobricks. This activity not only made the learning process fun but also gave the children a sense of accomplishment and a tangible way to contribute to the environment. The event fostered a sense of community among the students, teachers and parents, all coming together for a common cause. It was heartening to see the enthusiasm and collective effort towards environmental conservation. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the participating schools, students and teachers for their enthusiastic participation and support. Special thanks to UCN and Nagpur@25 for giving us this wonderful opportunity. Let’s continue to work together towards a sustainable future and make every small effort count! Stay tuned for more such initiatives and join us in our journey towards environmental sustainability. Together, we can make a difference!
