Saving Dreamz Foundation successfully organized a Waste Management Awareness Session with the objective of educating and inspiring participants to adopt responsible, sustainable and eco-friendly waste management practices in their daily lives.
The session was conducted in association with the Indian Biodiversity Conservation Society, strengthening our shared vision for environmental conservation.
We were honored to have Mrs. Shefali Dudhbade Mam, Founder of Anviti Foundation, as the resource person for the session. Through her practical examples and interactive approach, she explained the importance of managing waste at every stage and how individual actions can collectively create a large environmental impact.
The session covered important topics including: ♻️ Garbage Collection – understanding systematic and responsible waste collection ♻️ Waste Separation – segregation of wet, dry, recyclable, and hazardous waste ♻️ Waste Processing – recycling and transforming waste into useful resources ♻️ Distribution & Reuse – extending the life of materials and reducing the need for new raw resources ♻️ E-Waste Management – safe disposal of electronic waste such as mobiles, chargers, batteries, and electronic appliances to prevent environmental and health hazards ♻️ Ecobricks – converting plastic waste into ecobricks and understanding their use in eco-friendly construction and creative applications
Participants gained valuable insights into how simple habits like waste segregation, responsible disposal of e-waste and creating ecobricks can significantly contribute towards a cleaner and greener environment.
