Misfortune struck the residents of Beltarodi slum as the fire broke at one of the house and spread to the entire region before anyone could understand and act.
As we can see in the news and also informed by Saving Dreamz Foundation team after they visited the affected area, it is clear the victims have lost their house, cash at home, food, clothes, documents and everything that they need to overcome this loss.
SDF has been working on providing all the possible help by providing some necessary items in span of a week's time.
We first visited the place and talked to the victims and noticed that food and clothes has been provided but they required inner wears and sanitary Napkins for women and girls.
In first phase of our help in collaboration with 'Rasta Foundation', 'Awaaz Foundation' and 'We the people Foundation', we provided over 100+ packets of Sanitary Napkins to them. Also our team of lady doctors and social workers guided them about the awareness of personal hygiene and other issues during menstruation.
Additionally, we learnt that victims have lost their essential documents such as Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Birth Certificate, etc in the fire breakout and they need help in these documents reissued. Our team collected all the necessary information from them and would be working with authorities to retrieve the documents.
Also in the coming days this people will require stuffs such as utensils, school uniform for children. We will be in touch with them throughout this phase and work to support them to the best for our capacity.
