Saving Dreamz Foundation in association with Hislop College under their Initiative HISAR (Hislop Institute of Social Action and Research) had organised an event for the kids of Bhandewadi slum who mostly belonged to rag-picking community.
To motivate this kids and give them exposure, Saving Dreamz Foundation has organized few activities which are listed below:
1. Eco-bricks : An Eco brick is a building block made entirely from unrecyclable plastic. It's created by filling a plastic bottle with clean, dry plastic until it's packed tightly and can be used as a building block. A detailed session explaining the same was given.
2. Theme based Poster Competition : To find the creative mind of the children, this activity had really bring the best out of this kids. Also they got to know about the severeness of Dengue and Malaria through this initiative.
3. Dengue and Malaria Session : We briefly aware them about the consequences of Dengue and Malaria and how they can protect themselves from this disease.
4. Skipping Rope Practice: We had given them basic Skipping Rope Training to prepare them for future competition and events.
