Saving Dreamz Foundation in collaboration with NTEP Nagpur and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, successfully conducted a TB Awareness Seminar to educate children and community members about Tuberculosis (TB), its symptoms, treatment and preventive measures.

Understanding TB – The session covered the basics of TB, how it spreads and the importance of early detection.

TB Detection & Testing – Information was shared about where TB testing can be done, including NMC hospitals, government hospitals and Lata Mangeshkar Hospital, where free testing is available.

Treatment & Medication – Experts explained the importance of completing the full course of TB treatment, which is provided free of cost by the government under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP).

Nutrition for TB Patients – Children were taught about foods that help in recovery, including protein-rich diets and vitamin supplements, along with a list of foods to avoid.

History & Significance – The seminar also highlighted why TB awareness is observed every year, paying tribute to Robert Koch, the scientist who discovered the TB bacteria.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the NTEP Nagpur Team – Javed Khan and Surendra Satpute and Shraddha Deshpande (CHI, Central Railway) for their dedication and efforts in spreading awareness about this critical health issue. Their guidance has helped children and community members understand the importance of early detection, timely treatment and proper nutrition.

Through this initiative, Saving Dreamz Foundation continues its commitment to health awareness and education, empowering communities with knowledge and preventive healthcare practices.
