World Sparrow Day is a day designated to raise awareness of the house sparrow and then other common birds to urban environments, and of threats to their populations, observed on 20 March.
Saving Dreamz Foundation had participated in the "Chimney Da Dhaba" initiative by CHIP Foundation, Nagpur.
The concept behind this initiative:
Oncoming summer season is harsh and traumatic for all living creatures. The birds, especially sparrows suffer from lack of food and scarcity of water and are victims of heat stroke. As humans we should be compassionate enough to make provisions for water and little bit of grains like those of bajra, jowar, millets, wheat grains, etc. that will be sufficient for birds to fend for themselves during the summer months.
We as a team had installed 3 bird feeder and nest at various location and will be installing few more in the coming days.
We urge all our supporters, family and friends to kindly install the same at your location. So that we can build a good environment for this tiny little creatures.
