Global Handwashing Day is observed every year on 15th October. The day is dedicated to create awareness about the role of handwashing in preventing several microbial diseases. Washing of hands with soap and water may sound no big but you should know that there are different types of diseases that spread due to unclean hands. According to Centers for Diseases Control and Prevention (CDC), 1 in 3 diarrheal illnesses and 1 in 5 respiratory infections can be prevented by keeping a good hand hygiene.
Saving Dreamz Foundation has organised an "Skipping and Skating Rally" in association with Nagpur Rope Skipping Association and Rohit Deshpande Skating Academy students where children had done Skating and Skipping and also showcased the placards related to Handwashing to the public present at the event.
We were fortunate enough to have Mr. Rakesh Thawkar (Food Safety Officer) from Central Railway, Nagpur along with their staff who guided the children and public above the importance of Handwashing and what technique one must use for proper Handwashing.
Our other guest Mrs. Rashmi Chatterjee (Director - RS Software) had guided children regarding IT courses and its scope and also distributed juices to the participants.
Mr. Varun Kumar (Director - Goddess Films Private Limited) who is making an movie on Rope Skipping game had encouraged the children to do Skipping as it has many health benefits and scope to grow further.
Also we got the support of National Academy of Direct Taxes where their team had done Cycle Rally and spread the message of Taxes amongst the citizen and also encouraged the children to study hard and become successful in future.
Additionally they felicitated Team Saving Dreamz Foundation for their efforts and initiatives and also serve the kids with refreshment. We Saving Dreamz Foundation are really thankful to them for their wonderful gesture.
Also would like to thanks Rohit Deshpande Sir from Rohit Deshpande Skating Academy for initiating the Skating project with us and all the team members of Saving Dreamz Foundation who made this program successful with their efforts and hardship.
